The high qualifying team for the 1st annual Ringing Ten Scratch Doubles Tournament was the team of Carlton Pickron and Steve Blaha with scores of 760 and 738 respectively. They were Followed by Mike Talmadge and Dan gould with a combined score of 1487, Mark Koziol and Bob Santinello at 1459 and the final qualifiers Scott Prefontaine and Jeff Lemon with 1342.

The finals weeree a four team schedule head to head rolloff. Winners received a 30 point bonus. In the first match Mark and Bob defeated Scott and Jeff 525 to 421 while Mike and Dan defeated Carlton and Steve 440 to 391 as Scott and Jeff took the measure of Mike and Dan 452 to 388.

In the third match Mark and Bob took a commanding lead of 134 pins by defeating Mike and Dan 529 to 432. Mark and Bob were not to be denied even though they suffered their only defeat on the day with a gallant dffort by Mik and Dan 501 to 454.
