2008 MTCBA Masters
I would like to congratulate Bob Santinello on winning his
1st MTCBA Masters Title at AMF Chicopee on Sun. March 9th
Bob averaged 226.69 for the 5 games of qualifying and
8 games in the finals. Bob won 7 of 8 matches giving him
210 bonus pins which is what he needed to hold off the 2nd
Place finisher, Roger Fournier who averaged 230.46 for the day.
Roger won 5 of 8 matches for 150 bonus pins.
Bob and Roger battled back and forth for 1st place from the 3rd
game all the way to the last frame of the 8th game when they
bowled each other in the position round last game.
Bob started the game with a 24 pin lead, which meant who ever
won this game would receive the 30 bonus pins and win the title.
Both bowlers started the game with 2 opens but they picked it up
in the 3rd frame and battled to the last frame with Roger leading
by 12 pins. Bob stepped up in the 10th frame on a strike and needing
2 strikes to win the title. He proceeded to flush 3 strikes to win the title.
